Jay-Z says that opening the stadium and club is meant to be a good thing for New York City.
Last night, Jay-Z headed to Brooklyn, New York's Barclays Center to open his 40/40 Club inside the stadium.
On hand during the festivities were Rihanna, J. Cole, Lyor Cohen and more. Speaking to MTV News on the red carpet, Hov explained what the club and stadium mean to New York City and how everything was down to the wire.
"I walked around here earlier and I just seen everybody busy and at work trying to finish up and it was a great feeling," he said. "A guy stopped me in the hallway and said, 'Man this is a great thing for New York City.' And that's what the whole thing was about."
Jigga will open the stadium tonight with a headlining performance, the first of eight.
